I have a large interest in cabins and natural looking habitats and whilst reading one of my books I came across this Cabin.
It was built by two men in Norway who decided to spend nine months of winter surfing as the remote bay they chose has some of the worlds finest surfing waves. They built the cabin out of driftwood, stone and sea debris and ate expired food the stores would otherwise have thrown away. This is it in it's early stages in mid-winter:
I have chosen to do this project as I want to learn more about organic workflows and also snow. I felt this cabin was a nice small scale to work on and interests me as a whole.
I gathered as many reference photos as I possibly could and watched their film (North of the Sun) multiple times on how they constructed the cabin.
Today I started blocking out the cabin and terrain to get a feel for the location. There isn't a lot of props which is good as I want to focus mainly on making rocks, terrain and snow.
