FMP - Icelandic House (Week 1)

For my FMP I have chosen to recreate Interior Designer Halfdan Pedersen's house. I want to try and recreate the house as closely as I can. I chose this as my FMP as it has a range different textures and assets to challenge myself with.
I made a floor plan with rough measurements to get an idea of what the layout could look like.
I blocked it out a few times playing around with modular and unique structures to see what fit best for this particular environment. As this house doesn't tend to have a repetitive structure (mainly the ceiling/roof) I went for a more unique build.

I set up some cameras as closely as I could to the photos taken to help frame the environment.
I split the floor into 2 planes: 3x3m and 1x1m. This was to split up the wood similar to the reference and help frame the stairs.
After measuring out the main structure I placed in some furniture using real life measurements.
I made an asset list which is rather rough at the moment. I listed more or less everything in the house! Now I'm going through prioritising and deleting things that can be replaced with instanced assets. I want to make the environment look and feel as crowded and cosy as the house itself, so I have to carefully choose what I keep or remove.
I started going through the list and blocking out from the highest priority assets first.
